Education
Just for Kids Law provide direct representation in matters relating to school exclusions, admissions and Special Educational Needs proceedings.

Community Care
They also represent children and young people who are not receiving the social services support to which they are entitled, including accommodation and support for children in need, looked after children and children leaving care.

Strategic Litigation
Just for Kids Law challenge existing policy by undertaking legal cases that they believe expose systemic flaws and inequalities in our criminal justice system.

How do they do it?

Youth Advocacy Programme
Youth advocates assist young people in their day-to-day lives, providing them with help and support as and when they need it. This can range from help with filling out forms to providing advocacy representation in instances such as Looked After Child reviews, immigration tribunals and Child Protection conferences.

Opportunities Project
The Just for Kids Law Opportunities Project provides young people with a tailored package of support to help them identify and access education, employment and training opportunities. This long-term support recognises that barriers to engagement can be greater for some than for others.

Youth Justice Training
The youth justice training programme aims to promote best practice and equips attendees with the skills they need to communicate with, understand and effectively represent children and young people. Uniquely, this training employs the charity’s young clients as training partners.

Policy Work
Just for Kids Law are active members of a number of steering groups where they use their front line experience to provide evidence of the need to change the youth justice system.
